Types of Certifications

Padi Wreck Diver Certification

During four dives with your instructor, you'll survey and map a wreck, practice special finning techniques and may use penetration lines.

Prerequisites:

  • PADI Adventure Driver (or qualifying certification)
  • Total time commitment: 2-3 days (dives must be completed over a minimum of two days)
  • Minimum age: 15 years or older

Open Water I

Learn the basics: Become familiar with scuba fundamentals, get acquainted with your gear, and earn your pass to Turneffe Atoll’s dive sites.

  • Completion time: Four days
  • Requirements: Nothing required

Open Water II

Dive deeper into the art of scuba by sharpening your navigation skills, and fine-tune your curriculum by choosing from a list of Adventure Dives.

  • Completion time: 2-3 days
  • Requirements: Participants must be at least 12 years old, and must have completed a PADI Open Water Diver certification course.

Enriched Air Diver

Spend more time doing what you love: Master diving with enriched air, boost your no decompression dive time, and stay down longer.

  • Completion time: One day
  • Requirements: Participants must be 12 years of age or older, and must either have a PADI Open Water certification or equivalent certification from another organization.

Digital Underwater Photography

Grasp the basics of underwater photography — from selecting a camera system to frame composition — and capture your favorite underwater sights.

  • Completion time: 1-2 days
  • Requirements: Participants must either bring their own camera or rent one from our shop.

Search and Recovery Diver

Learn effective swimming patterns, practice diving in limited visibility, and properly recover sunken items, large and small.

  • Completion time: 2-3 days
  • Requirements: Participants must be a PADI-certified Advanced Open Water diver or have an equivalent rating.

Bubblemaker

Are your kids interested in scuba diving? Introduce them to the underwater world in the safety of our swimming pool.

  • Completion time: 2-3 hours
  • Requirements: Participants must be at least eight years of age.
