Blackbird Caye Resort
Blackbird Caye EDR is one of Belize's premier, best-established offshore dive, snorkel and kayak resorts, located on a delightful private island on Turneffe Atoll. It's personal, private and relaxing: only 18 air-conditioned cabañas, all with front porches facing the water. Ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking or beachcombing.
Resort & Accommodations
The resort sits on two miles of beach and island jungle. The resort holds 36 guests based on double occupancy.
All our private air-conditioned cabanas offer a porch and swinging hammock cooled by natural trade winds, facing the eastern Caribbean Sea. Each individual cabana has ceiling fans, one or two beds, nightstands and closet area. The baths are modern and equipped with hot showers. Deluxe cabanas have large sitting areas and other amenities, while families often like our Duplex or Triplex with adjoining bedrooms and shared porch. Now with free WiFi internet access in rooms!
Deluxe Cabanas:
Our newly-constructed deluxe cabanas are more spacious than our standard units. Each suite has a separate bedroom with king beds, ceiling fan, CD player, and air-conditioning unit, and private bath with shower. The living room has chairs, loveseat and table as well as mini-refrigerator, making it great for entertaining or relaxing
Superior Cabanas:
Offer a large private room with large sitting area, air-conditioning, private bath with shower, CD player's, mini frig., coffee pots and 2 queen or 1 king bed.
Standard Cabanas:
Each, air-conditioned cabana offers, one or two double beds, ceiling fans, nightstand, closet area, and private bath with shower.
The Duplex:
Features air-conditioning, a large shared front porch with both rooms having their own private baths and two double beds.
The Triplex:
Features a huge shared front porch facing the Caribbean Sea. Each of the private rooms is air-conditioned and has a private bath and two double beds. These units are perfect for families.
Dive Shop and Docks
The main dock, which houses the dive and snorkel shop, is the focus of resort activities. The resort offers a variety of boats for various activities.
Dining
Caribbean style cuisine with fresh foods prepared by our chef and served in a unique dining palapa by a friendly staff. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style. Afternoon snacks are served by the bar or in the dining palapa. Dinner is served to you at your table. Coffee, tea, juices and water are available all day. We can cater to any special dietary needs with advance notice. The newly constructed Cantina sits on the water’s edge and houses our lounge and bar -- a perfect place to socialize
Children are always welcome at Blackbird Caye Resort.
Climate is sub-tropical, temperatures range from the mid 80's during the day to the low 70's at night. Casual attire is a must.
